POW/MIA

vietnam statue

In High School I had done a paper for history class on Vietnam. Afterwards I went home and told my parents I wanted a POW/MIA bracelet. That Christmas I received one. On it reads the following information:

PFC Gary L Hall
USMC
15 May 75
Camb
KY.

I have worn this bracelet ever since. I never take it off; in fact, I've removed my wedding ring more times than my MIA bracelet. I don't know PFC Gary L. Hall. He was lost three years after I was born. Most of the information about him I know, I've found here: www.scopesys.com.

It bothers me a great deal that so many soldiers fought for our country and we don't even know if they are alive or dead. We don't know where they are. We don't know what's happened to them. And it bothers me that they never came home.
