Reverend Elizabeth A. Burger is an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the American Baptist Churches, USA. She is the first pastor of Freedom in Christ Baptist Church, which was founded in 1981, Chaplain of the Dunellen Rescue Squad and Chaplain of the Dunellen Police Department, P.B.A. Local 146.

Pastor Burger is a graduate of Gordon College ( B.A., Psychology) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is also a NJ certified Emergency Medical Technician and active on her local squad.

At present, Pastor Burger is completing her second term on the Professional Ministry and Church Relations Committee of the ABCNJ and will finish her first term on the General Board of the ABCUSA in December 2003. As part of her responsibilities on the General Board, she served on the Board of International Ministries and its Business and Finance Committee, Area Group for China and Southeast Asia, Area Group for Europe and the Middle East, Convener of the Area Group for Europe and the Middle East, and member of the Executive Committee for the Board of International Ministries. She has been nominated to serve for a second term to begin in 2004.

Pastor Burger's husband is the Reverend William J. Burger, III, R.N., a fellow graduate of Gordon-Conwell and Interim Minister serving the ABCNJ. She has two married daughters: Kris (Webmistress for this site) and her husband Greg live in Mass. and Keri and her husband Andrew live in NJ.

That's the bio. It's the Pastor and it's not the Pastor. The most important thing is: Pastor Burger is a sinner for whom Christ died. She accepted Him as her Savior back in college and her life, thankfully, has never been the same. Any accomplishments were for Him and by His Spirit. It is her joy to serve Him and her prayer is that He will increase and she will decrease (John 3:30).
